We beat Watford 1-0 in 87 with a very late goal from George Parris, an absolute screamer from 25 yards into the top corner. I think not only had we lost about 5-6 games before that but hadn’t scored any goals either. But I remember walking out after the final whistle to Janet Jacksons “let’s wait a while” blaring out over the tannoys at Upton Park.

Away to Leicester in the late 80's, the travelling Hammers sung along to The Irish Rover, and then Don't You Just Know It, loat 2-0 I think.
At Spurs in the early 80's, Ghostbusters got changed to Yidbusters.
Whenever I hear 'Walking On The Moon, I'm back on the North Bank at Upton Park.

Blimey, was just going to post on here and then saw the last post...that West End Girls song brings back memories to me as well, was always on in pubs before games when I used to first travel up a lot with a couple mates from Exeter.
Mine is 'I can't help myself' by the Four Tops...i had stopped going for quite a while because I was so pissed off with the all seating law and was determined not to go again after it. Realised it was just cutting off my nose to spite my face and first game back was a scintillating 0-0 draw with Walsall.
Was used to turning up in the ground early with the terraces so did the same when there was no longer any real need to...took my seat and that song was blaring out in a Boleyn ground with just a few hundred in it and just loved that moment.

On the coach to Coventry for the lg cup semi 1st leg in 81 Romeo and Juliet (Dire Straits) came on the radio. Always think of that night when i hear it.
Three Lions. England 4 Holland 1. Probably my favourite ever non West Ham game.
